Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation and high standards of hygiene. Duties
* Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently
* Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs including peeling & chopping vegtables
* Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to meet health and safety standards
* Organising storage areas for ingredients and supplies
* Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
* Ensuring waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed
* Restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
* Assisting with general cleaning duties within the kitchen and back-of-house areas
Qualifications
* Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential
* Knowledge of restaurant
* Basic understanding of hygiene standards and safety procedures in a kitchen environment
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary practices and hospitality services
* A positive attitude and team-oriented approach are essential
