Head of Communications
Our client, a dynamic global finance company, is seeking a seasoned and strategic Head of Communications to lead its worldwide communications efforts. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing a cohesive global communications strategy that aligns with the company's overarching business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in financial communications and a strong understanding of the EMEA region, with a proven ability to tailor messaging to diverse international audiences.
The Head of Communications will oversee all aspects of financial communications, including earnings releases, investor relations, and financial reporting, working closely with the CFO and finance team to ensure clarity and consistency in articulating the company's performance to stakeholders. A key component of the role involves leveraging regional insights to drive effective communication across EMEA, collaborating with local teams to maintain alignment and resonance in messaging.
This leader will serve as the primary liaison for global media relations, cultivating relationships with key outlets and managing responses to inquiries, including crisis communication when necessary. Internally, the Head of Communications will develop and implement strategies that foster transparency and engagement among employees, partnering with HR to support company-wide initiatives and change management.
Brand stewardship is central to the role, requiring vigilance in maintaining consistency across all channels and materials while enhancing the company's reputation globally. The Head of Communications will collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, legal, and other departments to support product launches, corporate events, and strategic initiatives.
This position involves managing a global communications staff of 70, providing leadership, mentorship, and direction to ensure high performance and alignment with corporate goals.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Proven experience in a senior global communications role, ideally within the finance sector
• Deep understanding of financial communications, including earnings releases and investor relations
• Demonstrated expertise in the EMEA region and ability to adapt messaging across diverse cultural contexts
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into impactful communication initiatives
• Successful track record in crisis communication and reputation management
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams
• Collaborative approach with the ability to work cross-functionally across departments and regions
