Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our family. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our home, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests and staff. This position requires a strong commitment to standards and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
* Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
* Complete washing/drying and ironing cycles.
* Ensure all rooms and common areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
* Clean, organise and maintain cupboards and fridges.
* Dress common areas to look presentable.
* Change bed linens and towels, ensuring that all laundry is handled with care.
* Assist with cooking and meal preparation as required, adhering to dietary guidelines.
* Communicate clearly.
* Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
* Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements
* Previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping roles is preferred; hotel experience is an advantage.
* Trustworthiness.
* Strong service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with family members.
* Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility in working hours, including weekends if necessary.
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
