Finance Business Partner Manufacturing & Operations
Location: Leicester| Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a successful UK manufacturing business with a global presence. This is a unique opportunity to work for an international business that develops cutting-edge technology and supplies into a wide range of industries.
As the Finance & Operations Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to operations and finance teams. You will take ownership of cost accounting, operational performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and manufacturing reporting. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and has a strong background in manufacturing finance.
Key Responsibilities
Review operational and capital budgets, including setting overhead absorption rates, labour rates, capacity assumptions and fixed asset management.
Provide managers with timely financial reporting, budgets and forecasting to support operational decision-making.
Work closely with production teams to analyse cost centre performance, including direct labour KPIs, manufacturing variances and departmental cost visibility.
Support development of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings for new product introduction.
Ensure accurate and timely inventory transactions and maintain correct balance sheet representation.
Review inventory ageing, assess obsolescence and calculate provisions as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
Degree inAccounting, Finance or Business Administration
35 years experience infinance or cost accounting, ideally inmanufacturing
Highly organised with strong analytical and communication skills
Strong experience producing budgets, forecasts, cost analysis and financial reporting.
