The Clinical Governance Lead will support the Associate Director of Clinical Governance in maintaining strong governance systems that ensure accountability, transparency, and high standards of care. The role will promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on patient safety and identifying key themes and trends. They will also provide administrative and coordination support, including organising meetings, preparing documentation, taking formal minutes, and liaising with the Executive Team, Clinical Directors, and Quality and Safety leads. This is a home-based role (applicants must reside in the UK), though occasional travel may be required for face-to-face meetings at various locations within the UK. As our Clinical Governance Lead you will: Support the development and integration of quality and safety meetings within the reporting cycle. Contribute to the creation of learning and quality assurance frameworks in collaboration with the wider team. Assist in drafting annual forward plans, setting agendas, quality-assuring and distributing meeting papers, and ensuring timely, accurate minutes. Maintain meeting action logs, tracking progress and liaising with relevant stakeholders. Produce high-quality presentations and reports to support learning from trends and themes. Promote a culture of continuous learning and patient safety across the organisation. Work collaboratively to ensure smooth information flow between clinical departments and the Executive Team. Support the preparation of key governance documents, including the Quality Account, Quality Strategy, and committee assurance reports. Assist with mock inspections, peer reviews, and patient experience initiatives. Ensure committees function effectively in line with their terms of reference, highlighting any risks to governance. Manage and prioritise own workload effectively, responding to shifting priorities. Engage in regular supervision, personal development reviews, and mandatory training relevant to the role. To succeed as our Clinical Governance Lead, you will : Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation. You will be a strong team player with a collaborative mindset, capable of building positive working relationships. A high level of attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion are essential. Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience. Sound understanding of clinical governance frameworks and principles. Experience working within a CQC-regulated environment. Evidence of ongoing professional development. Proven experience in an administrative role, including meeting organisation and formal minute-taking. Confident handling and maintaining confidential and sensitive records in line with data protection requirements. Skilled in transcribing and accurately capturing discussions and action points. Proficient in using the full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Advanced IT skills to support document production and data handling. Comfortable working under pressure, managing competing priorities, and adapting to changing demands.
