Your role will include responsibilities for the day‑to‑day management of Clinical Coding staff to ensure all coding is completed timely and accurately for SUS deadlines and support Payment by Results with the assistance of all colleagues.
The post holder will ensure an optimum clinical coding service across the Trust, manage coding queries, and proactively liaise with clinicians and other staff to review and discuss coding.
The post holder will provide operational delivery management support—both generally and for specific time‑limited projects—to the Clinical Coding Manager.
The Clinical Coding Delivery Team Manager will lead clinical coding staff, guiding them to fully and accurately code patient activity data within mandated timescales while adhering to national and local standards.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experienced ACC Clinical Coder with a proven track record across a wide range of specialties within an acute NHS Trust.
* Desire for a development and progression opportunity within a high‑performing organization.
* Ability to manage a team of clinical coders and facilitate effective communication with clinicians and support staff.
* Commitment to delivering high‑quality data within required timescales.
* Position to be graded as B6 (or higher) within the NHS.
