Who are we?
Nestled in the stunning Lincolnshire countryside, Tattershall Lakes is a 400-acre lakeside paradise bursting with life and adventure. From paddleboarding to jet skis, Water-skiing, fishing, aqua park, archery, high ropes, zip wire, an indoor and outdoor “lido” pool. About the role
As Chip Shop Kitchen Manager, we will be looking for you share your knowledge and experience. Building an engaging team of Fryers, as well as leading by example to always deliver our menu to the highest standards. You will need to have had prior experience in supervisory role in a similar environment before.
You will work closely with the commercial manager and be responsible for ensuring the kitchen operates within its agreed budgets and that food hygiene and health and safety compliance is always maintained.
You should thrive when under pressure and have a positive attitude, oodles of enthusiasm and be prepared to be hands on and to get stuck in with the team. Being available to work evenings and weekends including bank holidays are also essential.
What you will be doing
You will manage and inspire the kitchen team to helping to deliver delicious takeaway meals for our owners and guests this will include:
12. Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities.
13. Ensure consistency of quality of food before they reach the customer.
14. Plan orders of equipment and ingredients, managing stock and wastage effectively.
15. Remedy any problems or defects.
16. Be fully in charge of managing and training kitchen team.
17. Oversee the work of the kitchen team.
18. Recruit, develop, train, and maintain a successful team.
19. Manage and review team workload to maximise efficiency and ensure standards.
20. Implementation of all legislative measures and administration required by the current Food Hygiene, licensing, and collaboration and respect across the team.
21. Managing Oil and the Fry Range
22. Potato and chip management - from potato to cooked chip.
Skills, experience, and qualities you will need.

23. Communication skills through listening to customers, line manager, engaging and building a rapport with your team.
24. Experience of working under pressure including managing a workload at busy times.
25. An ability to build a commercial awareness and the experience of working in a commercial environment as well as becoming the best you can in your area of expertise.
26. Knowledge of working with regulations such as health & safety, auditing, and making sure that colleagues understand them.
27. Great leadership skills and the ability to build a high performing team in order to control, develop and improve all aspects of the kitchen including P&L, yields, people, standards, legal compliance, service and brand integrity.
28. An NVQ and relevant food hygiene certificates.
29. Working knowledge of computers and spreadsheets
