Senior Management Accountant | Media & Advertising | Central London (Hybrid) | £60,000 | Permanent Role
Robert Half is working with a leading media and advertising group in Central London to recruit a permanent Senior Management Accountant into their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, fully qualified management accountant to take ownership of key finance processes, drive month-end reporting, and gain exposure across a dynamic media business.
The business operates across multiple markets and provides regular engagement with senior stakeholders, giving a broad view of financial operations within a fast-paced and collaborative media environment.
About the Position
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in managing the preparation and analysis of management accounts, month-end and year-end processes, and supporting group reporting. Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts reconciled to the trial balance.
* Calculation of accruals using IFRS principles and preparation of journals.
* Leading monthly variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, managing exception reporting.
* Ensuring all supporting schedules tie back to the P&L and balance sheet.
* Ownership of month-end processes and compliance with internal controls, including SOX.
* Supporting interim and year-end audits, providing schedules and information as required.
* Preparing management and external reporting, liaising with internal and international teams.
* Driving process improvements and contributing to ad hoc finance projects.
* Providing guidance and support to other members of the management accounting team.
What We're Looking For
* Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
* Strong experience in management accounting, variance analysis, and month-end reporting.
* Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (SUMIF, PivotTables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with finance systems such as BFC or Media Ocean (desirable).
* Confident communicator, able to build strong relationships across teams and with senior stakeholders.
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
* Ability to challenge current processes and drive improvements effectively.
Desirable:
* Experience with DDS / Media Ocean, Cartesis / BFC.
* Media or advertising finance experience.
* Experience with SOX controls and compliance processes.
