The Regional Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager, EU RME, provides direct support and partnership to one or more of the Europe Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) pillars, including EU Customer Fulfilment (EUCF), EU Logistics (EUAMZL), EU Transportation Services (EUATS), and Global Specialty Fulfilment & Retail (EUGSF). This role supports RME from an execution standpoint and partners with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within WHS, RME, and other functions such as Operations, Ops Construction, Ops Engineering, Worldwide Engineering, R&D, Suppliers, Robotics, and Procurement to improve network WHS standards and procedures. The individual supports field program execution and assists the WHS RME Regional Manager/WHS Program Manager in developing WHS programs, procedures, processes, training, and capital projects.
Key job responsibilities:
1. Develop strong relationships with RME and WHS stakeholders for supported pillars.
2. Establish incident investigation, escalation, and reporting structures to ensure timely root cause analysis.
3. Assess risks in maintenance operations, implement reduction measures, communicate policies, and track completion.
4. Review KPIs and incidents to determine WHS Alerts or Safety Network Actions, and collaborate on content development.
5. Partner with High-Risk Operations, OEMs, Ops Engineering, RME, and Global Risk teams on equipment-related incidents requiring design or retrofit solutions.
6. Support RME leadership in enhancing technician engagement and safety ownership.

Minimum requirements include experience in program or project management, advanced Excel and SQL skills, a relevant degree in safety, engineering, or related fields, and experience in safety, RME, engineering, or operations. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, certifications such as ASP, CSP, NEBOSH, experience with automated reporting systems, Six Sigma certification, and strong communication and analytical skills.
