We are working with our client to recruit a Headteacher for an outstanding special education needs SEN school based in Nottinghamshire. You will be a dedicated, passionate and experienced individual with experience of Autism Spectrum Condition and a track record of excellent leaderships skills and management. With the support of your team you will create a therapeutically appropriate environment to enable all students to progress in line with their academic and pastoral plans, whilst nurturing and developing staff, creating exceptional autism practitioners. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework. Skill Requirements: You will be driven; solution focused; resilient; confident; conscientious; resourceful; consistent; humble; authentic; transparent; calm under pressure; and able to manage ambiguity. With the ability to build rapport & trust quickly with students, staff and other stakeholders. You will be able to provide details of a proven track record in working with children on the autism spectrum in a managerial position and have a demonstrable commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring that all staff and volunteers share this commitment. It is essential you have knowledge of multiple learning styles and the benefits of Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC). Preferably QTS qualified would be desirable but not essential and educated to Degree level and qualifications linked to Autism. You will have established links and relationships with Local Authority within the county of Notts, First Aid trained and have experience of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), Health & Safety trained, knowledge of GDPR and an understanding of its impact within an education setting.
