Ipsos Public Affairs are the leaders in social research. We bridge the gap between government and the public, providing robust research and evaluation. Within this specialism, the Health and Social Care policy area is one of our fastest growing teams. Our team of experts regularly conduct research and evaluation projects that support policy and communications on the UK health system, including patient experiences of access, care and staff, and public expectations for the future.
This vacancy is within the Health and Social Care team. We pride ourselves on delivering results to clients that can be acted on and impact on policymaking across the health and social care sector. One strand of our current work focuses on supporting NHS England with its continued challenges with, and recovery from, the pandemic. Our clients include government departments and organisations such as the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), NHS England (NHSE), and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Some of the research questions we have answered in 2023 include:
1. How efficient and effective was the roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccines programme?
2. What are patients’ attitudes towards primary care services?
3. How can we estimate the impacts of genomic newborn screening on individual health, the NHSE, and the wider society?
4. How should patients on elective care waiting lists be prioritised?
