SEN Teaching Assistant £425 - £ 500 per week depending on experience Connex Education are seeking a SEMHTeaching Assistant to work in a Secondary Academy school located in Horwich, Bolton Greater Manchester. About the School: Rated Good by Ofsted. This SEMH Academy is an educational provision for pupils aged 11-16 years. All pupils have an Education Health & Care Plan and have been excluded from mainstream school. The schools has a bespoke timetable of social and emotional development, mental health well-being and academic progression. They create a calm and engaging environment where pupils progress. Inspiring every young person to fulfil their true potential by creating a learning environments that are innovative, motivational and impactful on pupils lives. Assignment details: FULL TIME Long term from September ideally 5 days a week Monday-Friday, a trial / ad hoc days are ideally required before Summer term ends Person specification: Experience of supporting children and young people struggle to manage their emotions, behaviour, and relationships, which can impact their learning and overall well-being Be able to get to know pupils and get a good understanding of needs. Excellent communication skills, Empathetic and Patient, being self-regulated and calm. With a positive supportive attitude. Knowledge of SEMH Understanding of SEMH issues, strategies, and interventions. Be able to interact well with pupils and staff and able to work well as a team. Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
