We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Science Teacher to join a supportive Alternative Provision setting for the Autumn Term on a full-time basis.This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact, teaching KS3 and KS4 students who require a more personalised and supportive approach to education.
You will be joining a supportive and well-established Alternative Provision setting that ismitted to inclusion, safeguarding, and helping students ovee barriers to learning. The school provides a structured, nurturing environment with small class sizes, allowing staff to build strong relationships and deliver personalised learning. The leadership team is experienced and values collaboration, staff wellbeing, and professional development.
Your new role
As a full-time Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible KS3 and KS4 Science lessons throughout the Autumn term. You will adapt your teaching to meet a range of needs, including students with SEMH and additional learning needs, and play a key role in supporting both academic progress and personal development.
You will:
1. Plan and deliver differentiated Science lessons
2. Support pupils in re-engaging with education
3. Manage behaviour positively using a consistent approach
4. Work closely with pastoral staff and support teams
5. Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
What you'll need to succeed
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
7. Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
8. Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
9. A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
10. A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
Experience within an Alternative Provision, PRU, or SEN setting is desirable, but not essential.
