Job Summary
Come and join our Events team, who are involved in recruiting new blood donors at a variety of events, including shopping centres and workplaces. You will be required on an as and when basis working variable hours and days, including weekdays, evenings, weekends and bank holidays with mutual agreement and prior notice.
You don’t need a medical background, we just need you to have experience of working in a customer service environment, which can include in a voluntary capacity. You will set up and run “What’s Your Blood Type?” events where you will perform blood typing testing for which training will be provided.
It’s best if you live within about 15 miles of where the events happen, since things can move quickly and you might need to travel at short notice (we’ll always give you a heads-up though). Some events happen on weekends, so you’ll need to be available occasionally – but don’t worry, it’s not every weekend. We do offer extra pay for weekend shifts, and we’ll cover your travel costs based on our policy.
