Our shop is open 6 days a week (closed on Sundays), and we currently have a 17 hour part‑time opportunity available, for 17 hours per week. You’ll earn competitive weekly pay – from £9.33 per hour (for under 18s) up to £12.41 per hour (for over 21s) – while typically working 4 days out of 6 on a rota basis.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Retail Assistant, you’re the face of Stephens – serving up smiles and delicious baked goods in every shift. Here’s what your day could look like:
* Provide excellent customer service at all times – this is your number one priority.
* Help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the shop.
* Answer questions about products when asked and make sales recommendations.
* Follow daily routines and task lists for cleaning, stocking, and food preparation.
* Carry out tasks as delegated by the Shop Managers or Senior Sales.
* Follow food safety procedures and checklists, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Support the team by staying flexible and willing to help wherever needed.
* Keep the shop clean, tidy, and well‑stocked throughout the day.
* Make sure displays look their best and product quality is maintained.
* Follow stock rotation procedures.
* Work well with others on shift, sharing tasks fairly and helping out during busy periods.
