Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist – Acute Inpatient Banding: Band 6 Location: LRI (Leicester Royal Infirmary) Start Date: ASAP Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:00 /Part- Time considered Contract Type: Locum Speciality: Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapy Job Overview Pulse is now recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join the acute inpatient team at Leicester Royal Infirmary (LRI). This is an excellent long‑term locum opportunity, running until at least January 2026, with discussions underway regarding further extension. The successful clinician will support adult inpatients with a range of communication and swallowing needs, contributing to high‑quality, patient‑centred care within a busy acute setting. Key Responsibilities Provide specialist assessment and intervention for adult acute inpatients Manage a caseload including communication and swallowing disorders Complete dysphagia assessments and deliver safe, evidence‑based management plans Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Contribute to service delivery and uphold high clinical standards Requirements UK‑recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree HCPC and RCSLT registration (required) Experience working with adult acute inpatient caseloads (NHS or equivalent) Postgraduate dysphagia training (essential) Mask‑fit tested (preferred; can be arranged on arrival) Why Pulse?
