You’ll be a time-served maintenance professional, passionate about contributing to operational improvements and innovation.\n\nThe Position:\n\nWe are seeking a Multiskilled, Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will have strong mechanical fault-finding skills and experience with various industrial systems and machinery. You will need to be proactive, capable of handling multiple daily challenges, and keen to contribute to improvements in machine efficiency and reliability.\n\nSkills & Requirements:\n\nTime-served – Full Mechanical Apprenticeship (ideally with some electrical exposure)\n\nProven experience in a high-demanding manufacturing environment\n\nStrong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving ability\n\nPPM experience with mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, etc.)\n\nWelding and fabrication skills (desirable)\n\nFamiliarity with maintenance documentation and reporting\n\nPC literate\n\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles\n\nAble to read and work from mechanical drawings\n\nExperience working on and delivering improvement or installation projects\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nMaintain a wide range of mechanical equipment, ensuring operations meet health and safety standards\n\nDiagnose root causes of mechanical breakdowns and implement long-term solutions\n\nRespond to mechanical failures promptly and complete all required maintenance documentation\n\nCollaborate with engineering and production teams to support project work and improve reliability\n\nProvide mechanical training to operators, technicians, and support staff where needed\n\nMonitor equipment performance to identify and implement process and design improvements\n\nUse mechanical diagnostic tools for in-depth fault analysis\n\nEnsure spare parts availability by following stores procedure and identifying critical mechanical components\n\nDevelop, implement, and maintain Preventative Maintenance routines for all mechanical assets\n\nTake a proactive approach in reducing downtime and increasing equipment efficiency\n\nWhy Should You Apply?\n\n * Fantastic opportunity in a company known for investing in its people\n\n * Competitive salary with excellent benefits\n\n * Positive and supportive team environment\n\n * Stable business with significant growth opportunities\n\n * Excellent pension scheme and staff retention
