Position: Ocean Freight Coordinator
Location: Liverpool
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30-17:30pm (Hybrid working available)
Salary: up to £34,000

Job Purpose
You will be accountable to the Team Leader for the day-to-day running of the bookings function, ensuring operational procedures are followed, and delivering a high standard of service to customers and overseas partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage your own workload efficiently to support business priorities and service levels
* Handle customer and overseas agent queries promptly, ensuring clear and consistent communication
* Liaise with shipping lines to arrange and amend bookings as required
* Ensure all bookings match customer requirements accurately and are processed in a timely manner
* Monitor and review performance across your allocated trades
* Follow company procedures and maintain high operational standards at all times
* Provide proactive updates to clients and overseas agents regarding shipment status, including any delays or issues
* Escalate operational issues to the line manager where required
* Work closely with the documentation team to ensure smooth shipment processing

Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience in freight forwarding (Ocean Freight preferred)
* Strong customer service and organisational skills
* Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
* Ability to work using own initiative in a fast-paced environment
* Strong willingness to learn and develop within the role
