South Lanarkshire Council is seeking an experienced Cleaner to join the Community & Enterprise Resources team.
Overview
Location: Hawbank Depot, Hawbank Road, East Kilbride, G74 5HA
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 11:30am
Hours: 15 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £13.33 per hour
Actual Closing Date: 30 October 2025 at 11:55pm
Responsibilities
* Carry out cleaning duties on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas and walls.
* Use a buffing machine to clean floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings and sanitary areas in line with a pre‑determined schedule.
* Act as a key holder and maintain the security of the building.
* Monitor cleaning standards in line with specification and COSHH regulations; report any issues to management.
* Remove refuse and dispose of waste appropriately.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Demonstrable experience in a similar cleaning role.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
* Required to provide a foreign police check where applicable.
