Onyx is the agency designed for TikTok. We are founded by ex-TikTok employees and industry leaders.

There is a huge shift in the media landscape as a new generation of consumers engages with social media to research products and shape their buying decisions rather than searching in traditional channels.

Our mission is to guide brands on how they can maximise the exploding social commerce opportunity on TikTok and drive meaningful results for their business.


About The Role

We’re looking for an entry-level or 2nd job multi-lingual Social Media Executive, with multiple language skills including fluent English, professional level German (essential) and either Italian or Spanish at intermediate level. You live and breathe TikTok culture, know how to spark engagement, be comfortable building relationships with and managing multiple markets and brands across fashion, sports and beauty and most importantly what makes Gen Z and Millennial audiences tick and purchase on social.

This role is a 6 month fixed term contract and will work across agency clients providing support to the Social Media team, with the possibility of moving to a permanent role.


You will;

* Work with our Social Media team and act as a trusted advisor on TikTok organic content strategy and community management, deeply understanding each client’s business needs.
* Manage content calendars and scheduling, including writing on-brand, SEO-optimised captions.
* Collaborate with the content and production teams to provide real-time community feedback that shapes content direction.
* Own TikTok community building by:
* Engaging daily with followers via comments, DMs, mentions, and TikTok Lives in the brand voice.
* Sparking conversations, reposting UGC, and driving participation in challenges and trends.
* Monitoring sentiment and trends, and sharing actionable community insights with the wider team.
* Lead creator partnerships: from outreach and negotiation to content delivery and performance reporting, including always-on gifting.
* Coordinate with the production manager to ensure timely delivery of content to brand channels.
* Own reporting and analytics, using performance data to optimize ongoing social activity and shape future strategies.
* Support in managing day-to-day client relationships, reporting progress to the Onyx Account Director and internal stakeholders.
* Support on video asset creation & design
* Serve as a brand ambassador and guardian across all touchpoints.
* Deliver exceptional results that drive client retention and growth for Onyx.


What you will bring

Full training and support is provided but you will bring an approach suited to a start-up business which means we are looking for people with a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit who can play a key role in helping us to create long-term client relationships.

In particular we would like you to have;

* Internship or previous work experience managing communities and building content strategies at an agency or brand (preferably on TikTok)
* Fluent in English, with strong working German & Italian (Spanish or French as additional languages a significant advantage)
* Degree-educated or equivalent experience
* Intuitive knowledge of culture and what makes communities thrive on TikTok in pan-European markets, including UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, France
* Understanding of social KPIs and community growth strategies
* Excellent written and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and adapt messaging for different audiences
* Experience managing client stakeholders and presenting strategy and insights
* Ability to think and work independently, multi-task and meet deadlines
* Adaptability and resilience


Additional skills a bonus:

* Experience using social scheduling and reporting tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite or Sprinklr
* Experience with content creation tools such as Canva & CapCut
* Experience working with creators/affiliates and building strong relationships
* Experience working with translation partners
