About Us
Community Schools Trust (CST) is a multi-academy trust that currently oversees six academies, primarily in East London, plus one University Technical College in Norwich. Our schools have achieved remarkable results which transform the lives of children.
CST remains committed to raising standards, improving outcomes and transforming communities through the development of excellent schools.
The Opportunity
This is a senior, hands-on role for an experienced marketing professional who is ready to own a communications function and build something lasting.
You will develop and lead the Trust’s brand and communications strategy, working across digital channels, media relations, school support and campaign delivery. You will work directly with our senior leadership team and spend real time in our schools, getting under the skin of what makes each of them distinctive.
This is not a remote role. We want someone who will become part of the life of the Trust, who is curious about our schools, invested in our communities and motivated by work that has genuine social purpose.
What You Will Do
* Develop and implement the Trust’s brand and communications strategy.
* Lead the Trust’s digital presence, including website and social media channels.
* Support individual schools with their communications, admissions messaging and parent engagement.
* Identify and pursue media opportunities, draft press releases and manage journalist relationships.
* Plan and deliver campaigns from brief to completion, including for recruitment and admissions.
* Produce high-quality written content for a wide range of audiences and channels.
Who We Are Looking For
You are an experienced marketing or communications professional with a strong track record of delivering campaigns, building brands and managing digital channels. You write exceptionally well, clearly, confidently and with real attention to detail, and you know how to adapt your voice for different audiences.
You are organised, self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple priorities. You are equally comfortable with the day-to-day demands of content production as you are with strategic, long-term brand development.
You will bring:
* Significant experience in marketing, communications or brand development.
* A strong track record of delivering campaigns across multiple channels.
* Excellent social media and digital communications skills.
* Experience working with press and media.
* Outstanding written communication, with meticulous attention to grammar, tone and clarity.
* A degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience, a CIM qualification is welcome but not essential.
Experience in education is welcome but not essential. We are interested in talented communications professionals from any sector who want to apply their skills somewhere they really matter.
What We Offer
* A genuine opportunity to shape the communications of a growing Trust from the ground up.
* A collaborative senior leadership team that values clear, purposeful communication.
* The chance to work closely with schools and communities across London and Norfolk.
* A role where your work will be visible, valued and impactful.
* Salary of £45,750 - £49,056 dependent on experience.
* Flexibility around term-time working may be available for the right candidate, subject to agreement.
