Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams in structural analysis, feasibility studies, tender and detailed designs, and the preparation of contract documents and technical reports.
* Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated, high-quality services that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
* Champion innovation and diverse thinking to identify best-value solutions and drive continuous improvement.
* Work closely with UK and Global Integrated Delivery teams to optimise resources and ensure efficient, successful project outcomes.
Our Structural Solutions capability is part of Jacobs’ Transportation business, with a history of delivering technically complex schemes in the UK and internationally for clients such as High Speed 2, National Highways, Network Rail, Welsh Government, National Contractors and Local Authorities.
Qualifications
* A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline
* A professional qualification (or close to achieving)
* Excellent communication, collaboration and time management skills
* Project management skills related to bridge design or other disciplines
* Strong technical design and practical problem-solving skills
* Background in bridge design is welcome, but candidates from other disciplines and industries will be considered
Experience in asset management, structures renewals and post-tensioned structures (including post-tensioned special inspections) is of particular interest.
