Location: Home / Hereford (1 day every other week onsite)

We are looking to recruit a Network & Infrastructure Consultant for a leading online retailer. This is a remote role with travel to the client’s head office in Herefordshire once every 2 weeks.
This is an exciting time to join the client as they are investing in IT operations and delivering key technology projects. They seek an experienced Engineer to design and enhance their IT infrastructure and network environment.
The Role
This is a hybrid network and infrastructure role, suited for an engineer experienced in both areas. The role involves leading technical projects, designing solutions, and contributing to IT improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in roadmap sessions for project planning
* Provide 3rd line support for IT infrastructure and networks
* Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, storage, and network infrastructure
* Support network operations (experience with Juniper preferred, Cisco/HP also considered)
* Assist with Windows 11 rollout and MDM implementation (experience with Intune or System Center beneficial)
* Manage identity solutions, with Okta experience advantageous
* Support and administer Google services (Gmail, Drive, etc.)
* Follow change control processes and document changes
* Mentor junior team members and promote best practices
Key Skills & Experience:
* Strong background in networking and infrastructure
* Experience with firewalls, VPNs, WiFi
* Familiarity with Google Workspace
* Experience with identity management (Okta preferred)
* Knowledge of backup, patching, security solutions
* Experience delivering projects in an enterprise environment
