Trade Counter Assistant / Driver
Hours: 44 per week – Permanent, 7:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 12:00pm on a Saturday rota.
Salary:£27,936 basic per year.
Bonus/OTE: Potential up to £31,536 per year.

What Our Trade Counter Assistants Do
* Hands‑on, lead‑by‑example and work closely with the Branch Manager and Supervisor on day‑to‑day operations.
* Responsible for trade‑counter sales to achieve targets and confidently communicate product knowledge to customers.
* Provide exceptional service to new and existing customers.
* Pick, load and deliver products to customers using Eurocell’s 3.5‑tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans.
* Plan routes, drive safely and keep the company vehicle clean.
* Support the Branch Manager with actions and activities on time and in full.
* Comply with health and safety, company policies and procedures.
* Ensure excellence in customer service, operational standards and branch sales targets.
* Support sales target delivery while building positive customer relationships.
* Assist with branch operations and support colleagues as required.
* Maintain branch standards – warehouse, stock management, front‑of‑house cleanliness and point of sale.
What We Need From Our Trade Counter Assistants
* Passion and energy to deliver exceptional customer service and reach business targets.
* A customer‑focused approach, confident and engaging with customers.
* A commercial mindset to drive sales and maximise margins while ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and use own initiative.
* Confidence as an IT user, with experience of MS Office and industry software such as SAP.
* A full and valid driving licence is essential; a FLT licence is an advantage.
* Previous experience of branch stock‑take is an advantage.
* Comfortable working in a small team and occasionally alone.
* Experience in a similar role – trade, builders merchant, retail, glazing or uPVC environment – an advantage.
