Senior Valuer (Surveyor) - MRICS / FRICS Qualified
Contract: 6+ month contract

Rate: £420 per day (paid via umbrella)
About the Role:
The London Borough of Sutton is seeking an experienced MRICS or FRICS qualified Senior Valuer (Surveyor) for a 6+ month contract. This frontline role involves delivering valuation and estates management services across residential, commercial, and operational property, including development schemes.
You will provide expert advice, manage complex caseloads, and support the Council's property and asset management objectives. You may also supervise junior staff and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve service outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct professional valuations and estates management, including lease renewals, rent reviews, disposals, acquisitions, statutory transfers, and non-domestic rating.
* Prepare accurate reports, valuations, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
* Lead small projects or work as part of project teams to support service delivery.
* Manage relationships with internal teams, external consultants, suppliers, and statutory bodies.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, Council policies, and professional standards.
* Supervise, guide, and mentor junior or trainee staff where applicable.
Requirements:
* MRICS or FRICS qualification in commercial or residential property, valuation, or estates management.
* Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience.
* Strong knowledge of property legislation, valuation practice, and local government operations.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to handle complex caseloads and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant property software.
