Overview
Customer relationship and sales specialist responsible for expanding new customer base and upselling/widing products, solutions and services to meet customer demands. The role focuses on acquiring and developing current customers, identifying new prospects, building strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring optimum customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Acquire, develop and manage existing customers and new prospects.
* Build and maintain a strong network with clients and stakeholders.
* Leverage High Tier 1 contractor knowledge to build relationships.
* Initiate sales processes by scheduling appointments with clients and prospects.
* Gain customer trust by listening, responding to requests/issues and demonstrating commitment to success.
* Understand decision‑makers and leverage factors that drive their buying decisions at personal and business levels.
* Identify customer needs and advise on solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
* Prepare and follow up on quotations and tenders.
* Link new and existing products, solutions, and/or rental offerings to specific customer needs, communicating compelling value propositions and using appropriate selling approaches.
* Keep customers informed of changes and developments in the field.
* Manage and respect the customer funneling strategy for both direct customers and indirect channels (service partners, distributors).
* Identify market potential and qualifying accounts.
* Prioritise accounts based on change, potential and segmentation in a strategic sales plan and account planning.
* Track competitor products/solutions, customer responses, and act on findings.
* Identify market trends (technical and commercial) and respond accordingly.
* Meet or exceed sales results by achieving personal, branch, country and regional targets.
* Respond quickly to opportunities, implement counter‑measures when execution deviates from plan.
* Maintain up‑to‑date technical and sales knowledge of relevant industry segments.
* Acquire and retain technical knowledge of new and existing water solutions.
* Maintain proper records in the CRM (opportunities, contracts, e‑mail, tenders, quotations).
* Work with third‑party contractors to explore mutual benefits while maintaining trust among parties.
Qualifications
* 3–5 years’ experience in a similar position with a comparable product or in the technical sector; industrial sector experience is an advantage.
* Affinity for technical products; experience in water technology is an advantage.
* Excellent knowledge of English (and applicable regional languages), both spoken and written.
