Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker Safeguarding looking for a new challenge? We are currently recruiting for a Social Worker Safeguarding to join a busy Family Safeguarding Team in Peterborough. This is an exciting contract role offering an excellent pay rate of £40 per hour (umbrella) inclusive of holiday pay or £233.54 per day exclusive of holiday pay, with a hybrid working model that provides flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.
About the Role: Social Worker Safeguarding
The successful Social Worker Safeguarding will be responsible for delivering high-quality safeguarding services within the Family Safeguarding Team. This role involves managing complex cases that include Court work, Child Protection, Child in Need, and Looked After Children. You will play an integral part in safeguarding vulnerable children and ensuring timely and effective interventions.
Key Responsibilities for the Social Worker Safeguarding include:
* Conducting thorough assessments and investigations into safeguarding concerns
* Attending court proceedings and representing the department as required
* Developing and implementing intervention plans tailored to individual needs
* Writing detailed reports to support decision-making processes
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure children’s safety and wellbeing
* Managing caseloads within statutory timescales
* Maintaining accurate and comprehensive case records
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified Social Worker (Degree in Social Work or equivalent)
* HCPC registered
* Proven experience in child safeguarding, court work, and child protection
* Strong report writing and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment (3 days in office at Sand Martin House, Fletton Quays)
* Demonstrated understanding of legal frameworks relating to child safeguarding
