We are looking for an Assessor/Trainer in Plumbing and Gas to join our busy, high‑performing Construction Department in Cambridge This is a chance to use your industry expertise to shape the next generation of skilled professionals while working in a supportive, forward‑thinking team.You will lead a caseload of apprentices, guiding them through every stage of their programme and helping them build the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to thrive. Your coaching and assessment will play a vital role in ensuring they are fully prepared for a confident, successful End Point Assessment.
What you'll do
* Deliver engaging, high‑quality training, coaching and support
* Carry out workplace assessments and progress reviews
* Monitor, track and record apprentice progress with accuracy and clarity
* Prepare apprentices thoroughly for End Point Assessment
* Build strong, professional relationships with employers across the region
* Contribute to business development and employer engagement activity
* Keep up to date with industry standards, regulations and Health & Safety
* Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation and records
This role offers agile working, blending on‑site delivery, workplace visits and remote administrative work from home.
What you'll bring
* A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Plumbing
* Strong, relevant industry experience
* Assessor and/or IQA qualifications (desirable)
* Experience teaching or assessing (desirable)
* Solid understanding of Apprenticeship Standards and EPA requirements
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
* Confidence using digital systems and tools
* Flexibility, professionalism and a collaborative approach
