The Role
A great opportunity to join a dedicated procurement team focused on delivering value and quality to our manufacturing operations. We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Pig Procurement Administrator to support the day-to-day activities of our Pig Procurement Department. This is a vital role that ensures accurate and timely administration, supports supplier relationships, and contributes directly to the smooth running of our supply chain operations. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) offered on a 6-month fixed-term contract, ideal for someone looking for flexibility while still playing a key role within the team. If you’re experienced in administration, enjoy working with data, and are confident communicating with internal and external stakeholders, this could be the role for you.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and update departmental spreadsheets and internal databases to ensure data accuracy
* Support the Pig Buying Manager with daily and ad-hoc administrative tasks
* Use SAP to manage supplier and movement data
* Prepare and distribute key information to stakeholders, including farmers and transport companies
* Liaise with suppliers to confirm delivery details, resolve queries, and support scheduling
* Ensure movement confirmations are issued within 24 hours and submitted to relevant governing bodies
* Manage and update supplier records to meet site, customer, and legal standards
* Assist with reporting and analysis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of outputs
* Respond to supplier queries, including those related to payments or documentation
* Carry out additional duties as required by the Pig Buying Manager, contributing to team success
The Ideal Candidate
* 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English (Grade C or above)
* Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally in a supply chain or farming environment
* A background or interest in agriculture (desirable but not essential)
* Confidence in using Microsoft Excel, databases, and SAP (preferred)
* Experience with data input and generating reports
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesA proactive, team-focused attitude with a willingness to learn
