Bank Support Worker, Children's Complex Care
We are seeking experienced and compassionate carers to work across a variety of Children's settings in Swansea.
We require a team of Residential Childrens Support Workers to provide support to Children at short notice whilst care planning is undertaken and longer-term arrangements put in place as part of an "Emergency Team".
These Children's Support Workers will also be able to work at any of the Local Authoritys Registered Childrens Homes however, there may be occasions where workers will be supporting children in their own homes within the family environment or alternative arrangements.

This is a community/domiciliary role across the Swansea region supporting Children in a variety of settings.

Job responsibilities
* Provide personal support to children with a range of issues.
* Support medication administration and provide accurate documentation
* Observe, record, and escalate changes in condition following care plans
* Assist with mobility, nutrition, and other essential care needs as required
* Communicate effectively with family, Airmid Team and social care teams as required
* Maintain accurate records using our electronic care record system
* Adhere to infection control, safeguarding, and health & safety procedures
* Right to work and live in the UK (UK Citizen or Indefinite Leave to Remain)
* Be registered on Social Care Wales
* Basic Life Support & Moving and Handling (practical)
* Able to evidence a clean DBS
* Provide satisfactory professional references

Experience
* Applicants must-
* Be reliable, caring, and compassionate.
* Be looking to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals receiving care.
* Have a minimum of 6 months experience working in a frontline NHS role involving children, or previous experience working in a Children's Home/ residential setting.
