Associate, People and Culture Business Partner LFC Foundation
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as an Associate, People & Culture Business Partner for the LFC Foundation.
You will be responsible for leading the execution of proactive people planning and implementing change aligned with the people strategy and LFC Foundation's 5-year strategic objectives to support the charity's ambitious growth plans.
You will collaborate with leaders, key stakeholders, and People & Culture colleagues across both the Club and the LFC Foundation to develop and deliver People plans and solutions that meet the needs of the charity and align with the Club’s priorities.
This role will serve as the People & Culture subject matter expert, advising, guiding, and supporting colleagues and managers with high-level people management and development support. You should have experience across the full spectrum of generalist People & Culture activities at a senior level, with the ability to sit on the Senior Leadership team for the charity, while also being hands-on to enhance the People & Culture service.
Liverpool Football Club Foundation is the official charity of one of the world’s biggest football clubs, with millions of supporters worldwide. You will support the charity’s objectives, including income targets, aiming to become one of the largest sports club charities globally and to support over 500,000 beneficiaries by 2030.
What will you be doing?
* Providing solutions, advice, and interventions to key stakeholders on employment matters, influencing management and leadership around the people agenda to maximize service performance.
* Identifying People & Culture priorities from departmental plans, translating charity requirements into effective people practices, and delivering aligned solutions.
* Developing and implementing strategies for attraction, retention, engagement, and development of staff.
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal frameworks and external trends, contributing to policy development in line with legislation and best practices.
* Ensuring compliance with Safeguarding regulations and the Charities Commission framework, especially regarding Keeping Children Safe in Education.
* Resolving complex departmental challenges with interpersonal skills to mitigate risks.
* Providing expert advice on People & Culture matters, supporting managers with complex casework, performance, attendance, and employee relations issues.
* Implementing initiatives across workforce planning, restructuring, talent management, pay and reward, employee engagement, and performance management, measuring success against KPIs.
* Analyzing HR data to support benchmarking and strategy development.
* Developing policies in line with current legislation and best practices, collaborating with governance and compliance teams.
* Supporting the Foundation’s pay and reward strategies.
* Proactively managing risks, reporting issues, and escalating when necessary.
* Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing decisions, and acting as a trusted advisor.
* Ensuring timely and organized recruitment processes, forecasting resourcing needs.
* Driving employee engagement initiatives, talent mapping, succession planning, and risk mitigation.
* Creating a high-performing culture through coaching, support, and development interventions.
* Analyzing HR data to support business decisions.
HR Operating Model
* Leading the People & Culture vision, role modeling leadership, and embedding the HR Operating Model.
* Mentoring the People Service team, promoting professional standards.
* Enhancing team effectiveness and monitoring service delivery against SLAs.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have a degree or professional qualification, significant generalist People & Culture experience, and a proven track record in business partnering with senior stakeholders. Strong commercial acumen, comprehensive knowledge of policies, employment law, and experience delivering complex change initiatives are essential. Knowledge of Safeguarding and Charities legislation is highly desirable.
