Salary Range: £41,725 - £52,156 per annum, depending on experience.

About The Position
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is undergoing a bold digital transformation - and this is your opportunity to be part of it. As a Senior Product Specialist within our newly established Digital Office, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of IB’s digital product ecosystem. This isn’t just about managing products - it’s about reimagining how we serve schools, educators, and learners worldwide through digital innovation.
The Digital Office sits at the heart of our product strategy, with end-to-end responsibility for customer-facing products across our existing platforms and new ventures. You’ll join a multidisciplinary, impact-driven team responsible for delivering meaningful, measurable outcomes in a fast-evolving educational landscape.
The role is a cross-functional Product role that will focus on partnering with the Head of Product in each of the Digital Domains, and the Digital Office’s Senior Leadership Team to ensure adoption of our Product Management Operating Model in line with the IB’s strategic vision.
On a day-to-day basis, this role is responsible for partnering across each domain and each functional group in the digital office (specifically, data and analytics, engineering and UX to ensure consistent application of workflows, interpretations, models and so on, for a transparent and well mechanized operating model.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* Influence product strategy across interconnected domains, aligning with broader organizational goals, and owning transparent and well-operated product processes.
* Develop a regular working relationship with the strategy team to bring IB strategic vision into new product concepts.
* Guide discovery and innovation efforts to unlock new value opportunities across portfolios.
* Partner with Head of Products to ensure long-term strategic objectives are accommodated and balanced in roadmaps alongside ongoing operational work, to maintain high standards of delivery and operational excellence across each of our product domains.
* Support the Director of product in developing relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders (and the mechanisms to maintain effective relationships beyond direct line of sight) to drive alignment and investment in high-impact work.
* Continuously monitor the education and edtech landscape, staying ahead of competitor moves, emerging technologies, and shifting user expectations to keep our products relevant and future-ready.
* Accountability for product management tooling and technology selection and management to support operational needs in disciplinary function.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
About You
* Extensive experience in product management with a proven track record of delivering impactful digital products, preferably in complex or regulated environments.
* Deep understanding of product development lifecycle, user-centered design, agile methodologies, and data-driven decision-making.
* Strong technical fluency; able to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes without needing to code.
* Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and storytelling skills, aligning cross-functional teams around a clear vision.
* Demonstrated leadership in coaching and mentoring other product managers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, psychological safety, and high performance.

* Please note that in September 2025 our Cardiff Office will relocate to Fusion Point One, Dumballs Road, Cardiff, CF10 5BF. The building is a 5-minute walk from Cardiff Central Station and a 10-minute walk to the city centre. Our new offices will have 60 parking spaces available which will be reservable online.
