Reed Practice is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing firm of chartered accountants based in Reading. This independent practice supports SME owner-managed businesses and FCA-regulated organisations across sectors including property, construction, technology, retail, and professional services.
Due to continued expansion and client demand, the firm is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare financial and management accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders, and Partnerships.
* Complete monthly and quarterly management accounting assignments, including VAT returns.
* Assist with larger financial accounting projects.
* Liaise with clients, colleagues, and partners to progress assignments and resolve queries.
* Prepare corporation tax computations and returns.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Support and mentor junior team members.
* Engage in ongoing professional development through structured training and self-study.
* Contribute to ad-hoc projects as required by managers and partners.
Ideal Candidate:
* ACA or ACCA qualified.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in UK accountancy practice.
* Proactive and hands-on approach.
* Experience working with SME/owner-managed businesses.
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
