Project Director – £70M Mixed-Use Scheme (Student Accommodation & Residential) – Acton, London
Salary: £120,000 – £140,000 + Package + Bonus

A well-established Tier 2 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead a major new-build project in Acton, West London. The scheme comprises two RC frame blocks – one student accommodation and one residential – with a total project value of around £70 million.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven leader to join a respected contractor with a strong pipeline of large-scale London projects.
The Role
As Project Director, you will take full ownership of the project from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee the on-site delivery team, manage client and consultant relationships, and drive progress across all phases of the build.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of a £70M new-build RC frame project (student accommodation and residential blocks)
* Manage the project team, including Project Managers and Site Managers
* Oversee design coordination, procurement, and programming
* Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
* Build and maintain strong relationships with the client, consultants, and supply chain
* Report progress, risks, and financial performance to the board
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager delivering large-scale new build residential RC frame schemes (£50M+)
* Strong background with Tier 1 or Tier 2 Main Contractors
* Excellent leadership, communication, and commercial awareness
* Track record of delivering complex multi-block developments in London
Package
* £120,000 – £140,000 base salary
