Your new role
As a Bookkeeper, you'll support clients across bookkeeping, VAT and general accounting tasks, with a particular focus on sole traders (alongside some partnerships and limited companies). Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:
Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts
Inputting data accurately into Xero
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Identifying and recording inconsistencies to support accountants with reconciliations
Providing occasional support to Client Managers during year‑end accounts preparationFull training will be provided where needed, particularly on Xero.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience bookkeeping for sole traders (partnerships and limited companies beneficial but not essential)
Good working knowledge of Xero preferred; SAGE experience useful
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Professional, personable approach for this client‑facing role
Ability to work comfortably from the office and commute reliably
