Front of House Security Officer – United Builders Service, Inc.
A bubbly, welcoming personality is required for this new Front of House Officer position, responsible for ensuring that tenants, customers, and guests receive a first‑class experience when visiting our prominent commercial site opposite Reading Station.
Job Information
* Position: Front of House Officer
* Location: Reading
* Pay Rate: £14.20 per hour
* Hours: 60 hours per week
* Shifts: Monday to Friday – Day shift
Job Requirements
* SIA licence required
* Experience in high‑end corporate front of house or concierge services
* IT literate: basic understanding of access control systems and Microsoft Office
* Familiarity with visitor management systems is an advantage
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service attitude
* Reliable, responsible, punctual, and professional appearance
* Friendly, courteous, and outgoing character
* Flexible approach to daily duties and additional events on site
* Able to undertake 100% of all specific duties
* Provide all required documentation and vetting information
Job Responsibilities
* Meet and greet visitors, patrol areas, and handle reception duties
* Access control and answer incoming telephone calls
* Conduct emergency procedures and provide warm, 5‑star greetings
* Deliver high‑quality guarding and customer service to users
* Work independently or as part of a team, using initiative and thinking on your feet
* Handle confrontational situations calmly and professionally
* Ensure efficient reception, concierge, or booking desks with required professionalism
* Check guests in and out promptly
* Maintain teamwork across departments and provide solutions where possible
* Keep allocated area clean, organised, and ready for the next shift
* Assist with any other reasonable duties as required
* Stand for extended periods of time as needed
