The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Shift Maintenance Technicians.
This role is crucial for maintaining site safety standards, ensuring compliance with site and industry regulations, and operating as a top-tier COMAH Site.
You will work closely with operations to meet customer quality requirements related to ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP, including cross-contamination prevention.
Responsibilities include:
* Taking full accountability for all Mechanical Maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely and promptly.
* Collaborating with the Planning & Scheduling team and Site Engineers to enhance plant reliability.
* Managing the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, reviewing work packs, ensuring RAMS are adequate, and updating work progress.
* Handling priority work from defect identification to completion, including raising PRs and organizing resources.
* Ensuring all work is documented and closed within the CMMS system.
* Managing administrative aspects such as timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary matters, and deputies for the Maintenance Manager.
* Developing job packs, RAMS, and schedules in partnership with the Maintenance Planner.
* Contributing to root cause analyses and follow-up actions to improve equipment performance.
* Providing first-line problem solving for mechanical faults or work delivery issues.
* Participating in continuous improvement activities, including raising and executing PMs.
SHEQ Responsibilities:
* Ensuring environmental, health, and safety standards are upheld during maintenance tasks.
* Promoting a positive safety culture within the team.
* Carrying out work safely and according to company guidelines.
* Reporting accidents, near misses, and safety improvements.
Equipment Management:
* Ensuring timely completion of PMs, compliance, and regulatory work orders.
* Supervising Maintenance Mechanical Technicians and supporting projects and changeovers.
* Liaising with OEM contractors for inspections and planning future maintenance tasks.
