Senior Project Quantity Surveyor – Clean Energy Generation
Senior Project Quantity Surveyor sought by leading project developer pioneering the delivery of Renewable Energy assets throughout the UK. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will support project delivery, taking responsibility from the project development team, supporting the closure of contracts and managing them through construction and handover to operations.
Projects include the UK’s largest Energy Storage Assets (+100MW), H2 Ready Thermal Power Plants, and Green Hydrogen Electrolysis Assets. These projects involve high-value equipment, M&E, and civils activities.
The ideal candidate will oversee risk and value management, drive subcontractor performance, and manage quality. A background in M&E, Renewables, O&G, Thermal power, or other large-scale infrastructure (Data Centres, Civil Infra) is suitable.
Key requirements:
* Experience with various contract forms, especially NEC contracts (ECC Accredited Project Manager qualification preferred but not essential);
* Experience in heavy Civils/M&E/Energy works in a main/principal contractor setting (not essential);
* Managing contracts over £10m for principal contractors (desirable).
Key responsibilities:
* Leading change management, maintaining change control procedures, managing risk/early warning registers, reacting to variations, and minimizing project costs;
* Preparing enquiry documents, reviewing work scopes, contract negotiations, selecting contractors, and drafting final documentation;
* Managing contractor payments, assessing and administering payments, and issuing notices;
* Challenging disallowed costs;
* Reporting on cost plans, earned value, and project status to directors;
* Providing commercial support to site management;
* Maintaining professional relationships.
Location: Projects are throughout England with offices in London.
