Role Description
The Environment, Health and Safety Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Shrewsbury. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with environmental and health regulations. Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, delivering safety training, performing audits, investigating incidents, and driving continuous improvements in environmental, health, and safety standards across the organization. The role requires effective collaboration with various stakeholders to create a safe working environment and ensure adherence to legal obligations and company policies.
Qualifications
* Proven expertise in Environmental Management and Health and Safety regulations
* Proficiency in Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, and Audit Procedures
* Strong skills in Training Development and Delivery, as well as Employee Safety Education
* Excellent Communication, Leadership, and Stakeholder Collaboration abilities
* Attention to detail and capability for proactive problem-solving
* Experience in a mechanical and electrical environment is advantageous
* Recognized qualifications in Environment, Health, and Safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
* Ability to stay up-to-date with evolving industry standards and legislation
