Pacira is seeking a handsonexpertlevel Statistical Programmer for a 12month contract inParsippany NJ. Candidates must have experience in thePharmaceutical industry.
The JD asks for a Masters degree. Lets tryto find someone with a Masters but we may have to open it up tocandidates with a Bachelors.
TheSenior ManagerStatistical Programming a handsonexpertlevel programmer in SAS andSQL will lead programming management andanalysis of commercial administrative databases registry cohortsobservational studies and clinical trials. The candidate will beresponsible for various data processing steps (cleaning extractingmerging etc.) in SAS/SQL/R/Python environmentsand applying statistical methods to analyze study data with someliteracy of the output and results. Additionally the candidate willassist in managing and maintaining clinical databases inprospective registry studies via webbased platforms such as REDCapand OpenClinica.
Under the guidance of theirmanager the candidate will process large realworld databases andextract targeted patient cohorts define exposures treatments andoutcomes/endpoints and apply analytical methods (e.g.propensity score matching linearregression) to carry out statistical analysis bothindependently and collaboratively. The candidate will ensure thequality and accuracy of generated results with minimal qualitycontrol and proactively seek answers through selflearning anddiscussions with their manager.
Essential Duties &Responsibilities:
1. Processmanage and analyze registry study and large claimsdatabases.
2. Apply various statistical methodsto realworld research and clinical trial studies.
3. Demonstrate knowledge of realworld evidence (RWE)databases and clinical trial data.
4. Assist indeveloping statistical analysis plans and outputs to supportinternal strategy development and externalcommunications.
5. Manage multiple projects tomeet timelines.
6. Learn subject matters and newstatistical methods.
7. Design and implementmacro/library codes (e.g. SASmacros).
8. Provide input into thedevelopment of programming environments.
Interaction:
Thisrole interacts with various teams including health economics andoutcomes research market access commercial operations payer andemployer relations business development clinical trials data andstatistical programmers biostatisticians project management IT andexternal vendors.
Education andExperience:
* Masters degree in health economics andoutcomes research statistics mathematics psychology epidemiologycomputer science or related fields.
* Minimum 9years of programming experience inSAS/SQL/R/Python with at least 35 years in thepharmaceutical industry.
Qualifications:
* Strong and advanced programming and analytical abilitiesin SAS/SQL/R/Python.
* Experience in data processing statistical methodsapplication and results interpretation.
* Demonstrated experience in observational research andstudy design.
* Project managementskills.
* Good written and oral communicationskills in English.

WorkEnvironment:
The role will be based inParsippany NJ with some remote work allowed.
