Director of Public Health Who You Are The Director of Public Health is a statutory Chief Officer of the authority and a visible system leader in Hillingdon Health and Care Partnership (HHCP). You are expected to have high-level expertise in public health competencies, actively engage with local communities, and influence policy and practice to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities. You are the principal advisor on health and wellbeing matters to elected members, officers, and partners. What the job involves The Director of Public Health leads efforts to assess, improve, and protect the health and wellbeing of residents and reduce health inequalities. You will deliver statutory functions, influence resource allocations within the HHCP, and coordinate responses to public health emergencies. The role includes strategic leadership, advising on policies, and developing and implementing strategies for health protection, healthcare public health, and health improvement. You will manage budgets, ensure compliance with policies, and actively collaborate with multiple agencies.
