Role Overview
The ISC Strathclyde is expanding its business team with a variable hour Business and Finance and/or Economics tutor, due to increased Business programmes and ongoing developments. You will collaborate with colleagues across the Centre and network to deliver outstanding teaching aligned with our strategies and student experience goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and produce teaching and learning materials for Business modules at Pre-Master’s and UG levels.
2. Deliver pre-master’s supervision on various programmes.
3. Contribute to student support and innovate teaching practices.
4. Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and assessments, including examinations and coursework, ensuring deadlines are met.
5. Mark assessments and provide timely feedback, including writing student reports.
6. Develop and maintain module content on Moodle.
7. Assist with induction, orientation, and registration processes.
8. Support student welfare and progression through ongoing support and intervention strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related subject, with a minimum of a Master’s degree.
* Relevant teaching qualification or in the process of obtaining one (experience may be considered as an alternative).
* Fluent in spoken and written English.
* Experience teaching business, economics, and econometrics modules in UK Higher or Further Education, including quantitative and qualitative analysis, with experience working with international postgraduate students, and some undergraduate experience.
