Tradebe's International Recovery Solutions Department is a market leader within the UK hazardous waste market regarding the international movement of waste for recovery, recycling and reuse. To ensure our commitment to offering our customers the best range of available options, Tradebe are looking for an additional chemist to join the team!
Working in addition to the current IRS Chemist, you will also work closely with the IRS Supervisor, IRS Operations Manager and the rest of the team daily to ensure the highest levels of technical compliance and operational efficiency are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Quality & Compliance: Ensure all incoming materials are inspected and approved for recovery via the relevant IRS export route. Accurately analyse and classify hazardous waste according to regulatory frameworks (e.g., hazard codes, physical/chemical properties). This ensures the waste is correctly described for export and handled safely throughout the process.
- Repackaging & Routing: Determine the most effective and safe repackaging methods, balancing cost and end-destination criteria. Select optimal technical, commercial, and operational routing for all materials.
