About the Role The role is customer facing and involves continual interaction with users of the library and library customer service advisers.The staff member delivers events within the library but will need to build and maintain relationships with the wider community.The role is detail oriented and involves performing administrative and clerical duties and organising library materials and information. This role will involve the running of events and customer experiences in the library. This role is peripatetic and will require travel to libraries within a 25 mile radius to provide cover. This role starts at Pay Grade 5 with the option to progress to Pay Grade 6 after 18 months. The role covers on late night per week till 7pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays. We reserve the right to close this role early if we meet a high volume of applicants. About you We are looking for a flexible,enthusiasticand highly motivated person to promote the role of the library within the community.You will be able to demonstrate a love of reading and the ability to enthuse others, whilst having the skills needed to engage with people from all backgrounds, including volunteers.
