Medical Emergency Solutions (MES) is seeking a motivated and reliable professional with previous experience in the ambulance service to join our team in Luton.
We are looking for candidates with prior experience as a Make Ready Operative or previous frontline support experience, such as an Ambulance Care Assistant (ACA). This role is essential in ensuring that our ambulances are fully prepared, stocked, and ready to support our crews and patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and restock ambulances with medical equipment, consumables, and supplies.
* Carry out cleaning, safety, and equipment checks to the required standards.
* Monitor and manage stock levels, including reordering and stock rotation.
* Ensure accurate labelling and organisation of equipment and consumables.
* Report shortages, damaged items, or equipment issues promptly.
* Support ambulance crews by ensuring vehicles are safe, operational, and patient-ready.
* Work collaboratively with the wider operations team to maintain efficiency.
Requirements
* Previous experience in the ambulance sector (as a Make Ready Operative, ACA, or similar role).
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and infection control protocols.
* Good teamwork and communication skills.
* Flexibility to work both day and night shifts on a 4 on / 4 off rota.
