About the Role
As Art Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging pupils to experiment with a variety of artistic styles and techniques. You will help students develop creative confidence while building strong technical and analytical skills.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Teaching a range of artistic techniques including drawing, painting, and mixed media
* Encouraging creativity, experimentation, and independent artistic expression
* Assessing pupil work and providing constructive feedback
* Supporting pupils of varying abilities through differentiated teaching strategies
* Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development
* Supporting extracurricular art clubs, exhibitions, or school creative projects
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Have strong subject knowledge in Art and Design
* Demonstrate creativity and enthusiasm in lesson delivery
* Be able to motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities
* Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Be committed to supporting pupils’ creative development
