What You'll Be Doing
Contribute to the delivery of an effective, reliable, and customer‑focused IT function that supports the operational needs of People’s Partnership companies and associated third‑party organisations. Work within established processes, standard operating procedures, and governance frameworks while actively supporting the achievement of the IT department’s overall objectives.
* Monitor and report on application performance and health using appropriate toolsets, proactively addressing issues before they impact users. Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives that reduce manual effort and enhance availability, reliability, and security.
* Maintain strong communication and feedback loops with relevant teams and stakeholders, ensuring that findings, risks, and improvement opportunities are raised, prioritised, and actioned promptly.
* Provide second‑line support, guidance, and instruction to end users for IT software products and bespoke business applications. Evaluate and recommend improvements or system changes in response to identified issues or enhancement requests.
* Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of application data, maintaining full compliance with Data Protection legislation and all relevant company policies
* Collaborate with IT Services and Delivery teams to support technical releases, configuration changes, and maintenance activities for production applications, ensuring minimal disruption to service and user experience.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong background in one or more of the following disciplines: application support/IT operations/infrastructure/software development/SRE ‑ adjacent practices.
* Experience in SQL /TSQL / SQL Server
* Experience working within both Agile and ITIL frameworks, with an understanding of how each supports effective service delivery. Familiarity with SDLC
* Experience supporting applications within environments that require high availability, effective incident management, and robust monitoring and support.
* Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities, with a structured approach to diagnosing complex technical issues.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non technical audiences.
