Overview
We’re looking for a caring, calm, and confident SEND Support Assistant to work 1:2 with two Year 2 pupils at a Primary School. This is a really rewarding role where your patience, encouragement, and steady support will help young learners feel safe, confident, and ready to engage with the school day.
What you’ll be doing
* Providing 1:2 support to Year 2 pupils with SEND
* Helping the pupils stay engaged with lessons and routines
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support learning
* Creating a calm, structured environment that helps the pupils feel secure
* Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive relationships
What we’re looking for
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND
* A calm, patient approach and strong communication skills
* Someone who builds trust easily and celebrates progress, big or small
* Teaching assistant, care, youth work, or support work experience is welcome
Bonus points if you have experience with autism, behaviour support, or speech and language needs.
