As a Cover Teacher, you will provide short- and medium-term cover across primary year groups, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a high standard of teaching and learning. You will play a key role in ensuring continuity for pupils while fostering a positive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the classroom teacher across various year groups. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a productive learning environment. Adapt quickly to different school settings and establish positive rapport with pupils and staff. Work collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leaders to uphold the school's values and standards. Follow school safeguarding, marking, and reporting policies as needed. Liaise with teaching and support staff to ensure student needs are met. Ideal Candidate Must Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching within UK primary schools. Confidence in managing different classrooms and year groups. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one). Why Join GSL Education?
