Youth Worker – SEN/SEMH Schools

Location: Bristol
Hours: 08:30–15:30, Monday–Friday
Start Date: ASAP

Protocol Education are working with a range of SEN schools across Bristol, looking for passionate youth workers to bring their skills into the classroom.

These schools focus on building life skills and confidence through a flexible, practical curriculum. Pupils have a variety of needs including ASD, SEMH and behavioural challenges—every child has an EHCP to guide their support. You’ll be working 1:1 with pupils and supporting in class, so adaptability and positivity are key.

Your youth work background will help you:

Support pupils through daily challenges and emotions

Build confidence and resilience

Be a positive role model and mentor

Create fun, meaningful learning opportunities

We’re looking for someone who:

Believes every child can succeed

Brings creativity, energy and patience to the role

Can adapt quickly and engage learners in different ways

Is caring, resilient, and committed to pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
